Cat Stretch Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Cat Stretch is a puzzle game made by Iliya Raizis. This page explains what happens to your information when you play it. In short: the game itself collects nothing about you. The only outside company involved is Google, whose software shows the ads.
What stays on your device
- Your game progress: the level you've reached, the cats you've met, your daily puzzles and streak.
- Settings, like whether sound is muted or daily reminders are on, and how many free hints you've used today.
- Pictures of the cats in your album, kept in the app's cache so they load quickly.
iCloud
If you're signed in to iCloud, your progress, daily streak and the mute setting are kept in step across your own devices through Apple's iCloud key-value storage. That data is stored in your iCloud account under Apple's privacy policy. We can't see it. Turn it off any time in Settings › [your name] › iCloud.
Game Center
If you use Game Center, Apple's service records your achievements and your daily puzzle times and streaks, and shows them on Game Center leaderboards under your Game Center nickname. Apple runs this under its own privacy policy. Cat Stretch doesn't receive or keep your Game Center details. You can hide your profile or sign out in Settings › Game Center.
Ads
Cat Stretch is free. It shows no banners. A short ad plays between levels every five cleared levels, and the game asks first: watch it now, or watch three and skip the next three. You can also choose to watch a video for an extra hint, an extra paw or a fresh start on the clock. The one-time Ad-free purchase removes every ad; Apple handles the payment and we receive nothing about you from it.
The ads come from Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, Google's software in the app receives information it needs to show and measure the ad and to prevent fraud:
- An app-specific device identifier (not the advertising identifier: Cat Stretch never asks for permission to track you, so that one isn't available).
- Your approximate location, worked out from your IP address.
- Which ads you saw and tapped, and how the app and the ad performed (including crash and diagnostic information).
By default the ads are not personalized. In the EU, UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form appears before the first ad, and ads are personalized only if you agree. You can change your choice any time with Ad privacy choices on the home screen. How Google uses this information is described in Google's policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Notifications
If you tap "Remind me", the app asks permission to send a daily-puzzle reminder. Reminders are scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent to us. Turn them off in the app or in Settings › Notifications.
Children
Cat Stretch is made for everyone. The game itself collects no personal information from anyone, children included. Ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences, and are non-personalized unless someone agrees otherwise in the consent form.
Your choices
- Buy Ad-free: no ad request is ever made and Google receives nothing.
- Change your ad consent: Ad privacy choices on the home screen (where it applies).
- Delete everything on the device: delete the app. Delete the iCloud copy in Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage.
Changes
If this changes, this page will be updated before the new version is released, and the date above will change.
